1 Organising Authority and Venue
The organising authority and venue for the regatta is Sydney Flying Squadron, 76 McDougall Street, Milsons Point 2061.
2 Rules
The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing (2005-2008) (RRS) of the International Sailing Federation (ISAF) as amended, The Prescriptions and The Special Regulations of Yachting Australia, the rules and by-laws of relevant class associations (except as any of these are altered by the sailing instructions) and by the sailing instructions.
3 Advertising
The regatta is classified Category “C” in accordance with the ISAF Regulation 20
4 Alterations of Racing Rules
The racing rules will be modified in accordance with RRS 86 as follows:
Rule 44.1, taking a Penalty is altered to read: “A boat that may have broken a rule of Part 2 while racing may take a penalty by sailing well clear of the other boats as soon after the incident as possible and promptly take “one turn including a tack and a gybe”.
5 Eligibility and Entry
5.1 The regatta is open to all off the beach dinghy, skiff and catamaran classes.

Faxed or Posted Entries must be received by 1600hrs on Thursday 19th August 2010. Beach entries will be accepted.
Divisions shall be allotted to classes at registration
6 Fees
The following Regatta Entry Fee must be paid no later than 1100hrs on Saturday 28th August.
Seniors $60 Pay online Now

7 Schedule of Events
Early boat delivery Friday 27th August from 1100hrs to 2000hrs
Rigging area open Saturday 28th August 0800hrs
Registration Saturday 28th August from 0930hrs to 1100hrs

8 Sailing Instructions
The sailing instructions will be available at registration; if possible they will be posted to the event web site prior to that.
9 Racing Area
The racing area shall be on the waters of Sydney Harbour, Between Shark Island and Sydney Harbour Bridge.
10 Courses
The courses shall be described in the Sailing Instructions. Course lengths will be set with the aim that each division will finish at a similar time. Back to back races shall be sailed on each day.
11 Scoring
The Bonus Point scoring system, RRS Appendix A.4.1 will apply.
12 Insurance
Each participating boat shall be insured with valid third-party liability insurance for racing with a minimum cover of $5 million dollars.
13 Handicaps
Handicaps for each boat shall be calculated at the discretion of the race committee. They shall be based on the most recent class yardstick available.
14 Social Events
Spectator ferries will be available for family and friends wishing to view the racing on both Saturday and Sunday. Ferry bookings are advised to avoid disappointment and can be made via the club on (02) 9955 8350. Social events open to competitors, family and friends shall be conducted on Saturday and Sunday evenings.
15 Rigging Area – Milsons Park
15.1 The rigging area is finite. The organising authority reserves the right to refuse access to the rigging area for late entries. If entry numbers exceed the size of the park, some competitors may be asked to rig in an alternate location on a first in first served basis.
15.2 No vehicles may enter the park. Trailers are to be unhooked and walked into the rigging area, volunteers will be made available to assist and ensure competitors do so in a timely fashion.
15.3 Once boats have been unloaded, competitors may be asked to move boat trailers to designated trailer parking.
15.4 Milsons Park is open to the public, unattended boats and equipment must not be stored in a dangerous manner.
