Trevor has played in many leading Australian jazz and dance bands including those led by Grahame Bell, Dave Dallwitz, Ray Price, Bob Barnard, James and John Morrison, Bob Gibson, Ron Falson, Phillip Sametz and many others. Trevor has frequently toured Australia, the USA,Europe, Asia and the South Pacific with his own and other jazz bands in styles ranging from early New Orleans to Chicago/New York jazz of the 20s/30, from 40s swing to 50s cool jazz, and has recorded over 30 CDs with his own and other groups. He has occasionally done studio work for TV, motion pictures and commercials, and played theatre pit work.

Trevor currently leads "The New Wolverine Jazz Orchestra" & "Benny's Boys Sextet" and is featured soloist with Phillip Sametz's " Mell-O-Tones Orchestra" and "The Ozcats : Tribute to Bob Crosby's Bobcats". His " New Wolverine Jazz Orchestra" received the U.S.A's "Goldkette Foundation Award , 2000", were awarded "Certificates of Excellence" in four successive years by the Australian "Mo" Awards and were the featured band at the annual conventions of " The American Federation of Jazz Festival Directors" (Davenport, Iowa). and "The International Association of Jazz Record Collectors" (Chicago). These achievements may well be "firsts" for an Australian jazz band.
